Summary:

The Data Quality Lead shall provide expert leadership and guidance in performance for DHS DSSS contract. It is expected that this key personnel position shall be responsible for leading the overall efforts to strategically mature data quality and integrity across the Agency by recommending, developing, and presenting on activities and deliverables to help enhance enterprise data quality and integrity to support improved sharing, decision-making, and reporting on mission operations.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Responsible to help develop customer experience and engagement to build and support a more robust, trusting, and collaborative relationships across the enterprise that will support proactive data integrity and encourage timely identification and resolution of data issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess data quality issues and root causes and develop action plans to address them effectively.
  • Define and monitor key data quality metrics and KPIs to track performance, identify trends, and measure improvements over time.
  • Establish data quality standards and guidelines for data acquisition, storage, transformation, and reporting processes.
  • Implement data quality tools and technologies to automate data profiling, cleansing, and validation tasks, and ensure adherence to data quality standards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to educate stakeholders on data quality best practices and promote a culture of data stewardship and accountability.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on data quality issues and provide guidance and support to teams and individuals on data quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Hands-on experience with data quality tools and technologies such as data profiling tools, data cleansing tools, and data quality monitoring tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify data quality issues, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading and managing data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or at least ten (10) years project management experience.
  • At least 5 years' experience with the strategic implementation of enterprise data quality and integrity program(s).
  • Enterprise quality and integrity experience includes master data management, data quality dimensions and metrics development, data quality business rules development and implementation, critical data element identification, data quality monitoring, root cause data analysis, and quality by design.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $145,000 per year.
